A Faculty Development Programme was conducted by Miss Reshma Rabbani, Department of Humanities, Pragati Engineering at the Pragati College of Engineering & Management, Sejbahar, Raipur Campus on 16- 17 Jan 2012.

Dr. Rajendra Hegadi, Principal of Pragati Engineering, initiated the session by briefing the audience with the significance of continual improvement in the faculty in terms of knowledge and innovation to attain excellence as an academician. It was a two day programme. All faculty members attended the programme. Miss Rabbani in her sessions acquainted the participants with the need and importance of communication skills for everyone and specially the teachers who have the dual responsibilities on their shoulders of not just imparting the knowledge but also motivating the students. She elucidated on the role of grammar, pronunciation and the four skills of communication in acquiring proficient communicative English. She also administered various interesting communicative games to the faculty members to elucidate the different communication skills. The participants enthusiastically participated in the sessions. The session, concluded with Miss Rabbani, effectively handling the queries raised by the participants.
